Welcome to the Team

Serenity Care kicked off the new year with several new hires:

  • Dr. Veronica Vedensky — Primary Care Physician, Newton
  • David Voytukhov — Driver, Springfield
  • Anna Karapunarly — Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist, Springfield
  • Dmitri Simonian — Driver, Newton
  • Anya Martsinkiv — PACE Center RN, Newton
  • Yelena Berger — Enrollment and Assessment RN, Newton

In the Community

The Newton location partnered with the Newton Housing Authority to celebrate the Annual Lunar New Year, bringing festive community spirit to participants and neighbors alike.

Growing Census

The overall participant census continued its upward trend, reaching 635 participants in March — up from 590 a year prior — reflecting steady organizational growth at both the Springfield and Newton centers.

Adult Day Health

Participants enjoyed a variety of activities this quarter, including chess, billiards, group gatherings, and live entertainment performances.

Quality Improvement

Enrollment remained strong at both locations, and the organization maintained low disenrollment numbers. ER visit and hospitalization rates were tracked closely across both sites.

I-SAT Satisfaction Survey

Serenity Care outperformed all Massachusetts PACE organizations and the national average with a 93% overall satisfaction score, excelling in 11 of 12 quality indicators. Standout scores include 100% for Center Aides and Recreational Activities, 99% for Home Care, and 92% for Meals.

Staff Retention

90% of management has been with the organization for 9+ years — a testament to the stability and dedication of the Serenity Care team.
